I grew up in a home that was strongly Jewish and
strongly German but not Orthodox in practice.
At this point I am a Baal Tshuvah over many
years who is quite involved with my community.
I have worked a great many years in my high
school teaching position and will be retiring soon.
I am interested in my children ( who are not
observant) and try to be involved and supportive
to them as they mature into adulthood.
I am on the very liberal end of Modern Orthodoxy
and I am quite comfortable in both the secular and
Jewish worlds.
I enjoy having friends over for Shabbat and Yom Tov meals.
I have been divorced and alone for quite a
number of years. I do find dating situations
difficult and dissappointing although a few
have lasted a number of months. A low key
relationship involving company and
enjoying a good time sounds nice to me. A companion
or a "buddy" sounds good also. It has not been easy
being alone all of these years.
I generally do well with ladies who are of a
modern/liberal disposition who are understanding
and easy going.
