GOOD DEEDS: Recently I did some volunteer work in a women's shelter organizing one of their fund-raising drives in Excel.
TIKKUN OLAM: The best way to improve the world is by improving on myself continually, by becoming more peaceful, more loving and more joyful. And by forgiving any past grievances (whether people or scenarios). Though there are obstacles (the ego makes a ruckus) I have been successful!
STRANDED ON A ISLAND SCENARIO: If I were stranded on an island items I would most want with me are: water food and shelter, the basics. The three attributes I most want with me are trust, faith and belief--with these attributes I will successfully live on the island no matter what comes my way. The three people I would most like on the island will have those same attributes. Oh yes, we'd also all have the attribute of joy and laughter. It is important to have a good time!
DREAM PLACE TO LIVE: My dream place will have a garden since I love plants and have a green thumb. The garden will have a porch for my lounge chair so I can relax and enjoy my it with my family. I would also like to live in a climate that has warm weather most of the year.
UNIQUENESS OF MY UPBRINGING: My parents raised me to know that water is a good thing to drink and walking is a great form of exercise. My parents love gardening and I inherited my appreciation of plants and gardens from them.
HOW I SPEND MY FREE TIME: I spend my free time participating in meditation groups and meditating on my own (it brings me peace), museums (I love history) hiking (since I love nature plants animals and views), going to the gym (since I like to move and it give me an opportunity to read) and going to the movies.
