First and foremost, I love to laugh...and I love to make others laugh. Comedy makes the world go round...and when I hear a funny joke, I want to share it. The funny news stories on morning radio and FARK are my "crack" - ITS WHACK! Okay, my slightly metrosexual side - I like to shop, I prefer wine over beer (and sometimes tea over coffee), and I like to get the occasional massage. Pedicures, not yet and not likely. I am a masculine guy; follow the local sports teams, but not a sports fan, per se. I do love gadgets and technology...and I have helped a few hook up stereos and put together boxed furniture items, despite not being the handiest person in the world. Music - 80s, and a huge huge fan of jazz. Sipping wine with Miles Davis - nothing better. Movies - I'll watch anything, but don't particularly care for horror. I will watch the chick flick; in fact, one of my favorites is a romance which not many people (especially males) enjoyed. I do tend to favor foreign, independent, and documentaries; pieces with flavor, but I do get a kick out of the summer blockbuster also. I am an amateur photographer. Its a hobby, mostly...but maybe one day, it will be more. I've also been known to write a haiku or two, and I blog on whatever topic moves me at the time. Personally, I'm a big teddy bear...which means I like to hibernate!!! I'm also a caring and nurturing type. I enjoy intelligent conversation with interesting people. There are things on my "bucket list" that most of my family and friends think are crazy...but I don't follow the norm. That is why the avant-garde intrigues me; art, architecture, etc. In this American Idol world, I go against the grain and listen to real music by Tom Waits. Professionally, I work for a benefits company in St. Pete...though I spent many years in studio television production. I have a B.A. in Communications from The University of Tampa, and have lived in the bay area for nearly 20 years. I recently moved from Lutz to St. Pete to be closer to work and the downtown arts community...and yes, okay, the water too!!!
